What is Seedance 2.0?
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance’s flagship text-to-video and image-to-video model, released in February 2026. From a written prompt or a single still it produces a coherent short clip — steady camera work, consistent subjects, and native synchronized sound — at up to 1080p.
This is the full-quality tier of the lineup. The lighter Seedance 2.0 Fast tier drops the 1080p ceiling in exchange for faster, cheaper renders, while the standard tier keeps the full control set: image-to-video, reference clips, audio, first- and last-frame, and seven aspect ratios.

What Seedance 2.0 Does
Text to video
Write what you want on screen and it builds the shot — cast, camera moves, and motion from one prompt.
Image to video
Upload a still and it sets the subject and scene in motion while preserving your original framing.
Up to 1080p
Output sharp Full HD — the resolution ceiling that separates the standard tier from Fast.
Native audio
Sound comes baked into the clip, so there is no second pass to add audio.
First & last frame
Lock a starting frame and an ending frame, and the model generates the motion in between.
